Booth Tracker is an app we created just for the HIMSS conference that demonstrates our rapid product design and development capabilities @ Applied Informatics. The app lets you track what’s hot and what’s not based on number of booth visitors. You can see live stats as a heat map or as booth rankings. The stats will be displayed during the three days of the exhibition (Mar 1-Mar 3)
How can i see the different booth stats?
By default you will be shown a heat map of booth activity by visitor counts. You can zoom in and out of the map or click the “view details” button on the map to see more detailed heat map stats. You can toggle between lower and upper level exhibit areas
You can also use the “Booth Stats” and “My Stats” tab. Booth Stats give you rankings of booth by visitor counts and you can filter by booth category to see how booths rank for each category. Under “My Stats” you can see your step count, booths visited and compare against everyone else.
What else does Booth Tracker do?
As you visit the booths, you may earn free bitcoins everyday just for walking and visiting booths! Viola!
The top booth walker will receive one full Bitcoin at the end of the exhibition (Mar 3rd, 5 pm PST)
What data does Booth Tracker use?
We will need your permission to access your step count data from Healthkit (for Apple device users only). For both Android and iOS users we will also ask for your permission to use the location data from your device so that we can show where you are in the conference exhibit area
Does the App track my location all the time?
No the App only tracks your location and step count when you are in the conference exhibit floor areas.
What happens when the conference ends? Will you still be tracking my location?
The App will only track users’ steps in the conference exhibit area between Mar 1, 2016 till end of day Mar 3, 2016. No nothing will be tracked after March 3rd, 2016
How does the App know who is visiting which booth?
Well, that is the power of Big data analytics. We have developed algorithms to use the user’s location mapped to a booth coordinate system to determine a bounding area for each booth. Any presence in this bounding box for a certain time period is considered a visit. For more details, come visit us in our booth.
I love this App, where can i come find you folks?
